About Me

I am a birth and postpartum doula, former primary school educator and mother. I live in Wye River (Gadubanud Country) with my partner Jake and two daughters.

My own experiences of birth is what ignited my passion for birth, and the depth of care I received from my midwives and doula is a gift I intend to keep spreading to other women on their own birthing journey. After feeling very much unequipped for the intensity and uncertainty of labour the first time around, I threw myself deeply into the birth world in preparation for my second birth and my eyes were opened to the empowering possibilities of birth and everything that surrounds this sacred, yet everyday, phenomena. My obsession with all things physiological birth began in 2019 and there continues to be a fire ignited deep within me about changing the landscape of birth preparation and postpartum care in our modern day culture. One small way I can do this is to provide ongoing doula support and care centred around you, your family and your wishes for birth and postpartum.

Before becoming a mother myself and completing my doula trainings, I was a very passionate primary school teacher. I am so glad I have found something where I can fuse together my love of guiding and nurturing others, my passion for knowledge and education, and of course my love of cooking and nourishing others.

Living on Gadubanud country now, slowing down and reconnecting with nature after spending twenty years livings in Naarm, feels so aligned with this work. Having grown up in rural Victoria, I am so glad to have made the move out of the city to the coast to raise my own children. Listed below are some of the training I have completed to support my work as a birth attendant and postpartum doula.
